G'day, my name is Jarrad, but at Camp Carolina, I go by J-RAD. I did my first summer at CCB
about 10 years ago when I was 19 years old, and now at 29, I'm super excited to be back for my
4th summer in the greatest place on earth. I'm from Melbourne, Australia, where I spent
early in my career as a youth worker, later transitioning into training and development for
some amazing companies. Taking a break from my regular work, I'm thrilled to return to working with the incredible boys at Camp Carolina.

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?
One of my proudest achievements is seeing the positive impact of my work as a youth worker.
Helping young people navigate challenges, build confidence, and realize their potential has
been incredibly rewarding. On a personal level, building a career that allows me to help others while continually learning and growing has been a huge achievement.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?
I love staying active and exploring the outdoors. CrossFit is my go-to for fitness, but I also
enjoy running, hiking, and anything that gets me moving and immersed in nature.

What is your favorite thing about working with children?
My favorite part about working with kids is watching them learn new skills, build friendships, and grow in confidence.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?
I'm most excited about creating memorable experiences for the boys that they'll cherish for
years to come. Whether it's teaching them new skills, cheering them on, or being a supportive
mentor, I want to help them feel like they're part of something special at CCB.

What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?
One of the most important lessons I hope to share with my campers this summer is the joy of
stepping away from technology and appreciating life off the grid. Camp Carolina offers an
incredible opportunity to disconnect and focus on the simplicity of life, and the beauty of nature, and build lifelong friendships. I want the boys to discover how freeing it feels to swap their phones for adventure and face-to-face friendships. Getting off the grid It's one of the best elements of camp!
